Marketing Manager

This role will report to the Creative Director / Head of Digital. You will work closely with the marketing team, digital team, Buying & Planning manager and design team. The role will have one direct report, that being the PR & Marketing Assistant.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Communications

  • Manage and execute marketing support across all online and retail activity
  • Build and plan the EDM calendar to map our key messaging across a minimum of 3 EDMs per week
  • Brief in weekly artwork requirements to the Graphic Designer
    • EDMs
    • Social Media assets
    • Website assets
    • Blog posts
  • Copywriting across all marketing collateral ensuring all communications are aligned with the brand’s tone of voice
  • Proof and check all artwork and assets, ensuring the highest level of attention to detail is met
  • Weekly website content meetings with Graphic Designer and eCommerce Coordinator to map out forward plan for website homepage

Social Media

  • Organise, plan and create weekly (organic) Instagram content grids based on relevant retail and online activity
  • Manage and upload organic social content daily, including copywriting across all captions
  • Instagram community management
  • Manage content uploads to Facebook, Youtube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and TikTok.

Content

  • Plan all photoshoots (campaigns, look book shoots and in season content shoots) alongside the Creative Director’s vision and brief
  • Manage all photoshoot production including securing photographers, models, locations, etc
  • Liaise and build relationships with external teams (agent, hair and makeup artists, photographers, videographer, etc)
  • Manage photoshoot budgets


Influencer Marketing & PR

  • Manage communications for paid influencer collaborations in a targeted and cost-effective manner
  • Work with the Creative Director and PR & Marketing Assistant on seasonal gifting strategy
  • Manage PR & Marketing Assistant’s facilitation of send outs and gifting
  • Work with the PR & Marketing Assistant for influencer outreach
  • Work and liaise with our AU PR agency on press pitches
  • Work with Creative Director in written communication and copywriting to external media partners (interviews, statements, etc)
  • Manage inbound PR requests alongside the PR & Marketing Assistant

Retail Marketing

  • Alongside the retail team, assist in the development and execution of retail marketing in order to drive sales and increase customer database
  • Provide the retail team with any relevant marketing assets they require alongside the Graphic Designer (look books, invites, decals, etc)
  • Oversee the management of the PR & Marketing Assistant reach out to centre marketing teams to increase brand awareness within centres

Wholesale

  • Work with the wholesale team to develop and build relationships with key accounts to increase brand presence and awareness on relevant channels
  • Liaise with the wholesale team to execute required marketing support
  • Alongside the PR & Marketing Assistant, facilitate loan and asset requirements

Brand Collaborations

  • Maintain relationships with current brand partners to ensure relationship longevity (M.A.C Cosmetics and Wella Pro ANZ)
  • Manage and liaise on brand collaborations and opportunities

Events

  • Assist in the planning and management of events and activations (Fashion Week, in store activations, brand events)

Reporting

  • Management of marketing budget and reconciliation of budget after each marketing project, ensuring all expenses are kept within budget
  • Review weekly organic social activity and report accordingly based on performance
  • Review and report on weekly marketing and PR activity, ensuring effective learnings are actioned
  • Manage the marketing calendar as a basis for all marketing and PR activity

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the fashion or beauty industries working for a premium or luxury brand
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Graphic design skills are highly regarded
  • A good design eye and strong understanding of brand identity and tone of voice
  • A brand ambassador and passion for the industry in order to drive the continued success of alice McCALL
